Fulbright Competition Wrap-up

by IIE Staff

On behalf of the Institute of International Education (IIE), we would like to congratulate your efforts in conducting outreach for the Fulbright Program and assisting students in applying to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. IIE has received a record number of Fulbright Student applications for the 2007-2008 cohort year – the highest number on record – 6,084 - which could not have happened without your hard work.

Over the next few weeks, we will be convening 92 meetings of the National Screening Committee to review and recommend candidates for further consideration by host countries.

Congratulations once again on achievements with the Fulbright Program this year! We look forward to working with you in 2007.

With best regards,

Theresa Granza

Director, US Student Programs

English Teaching Assistants (ETA) opportunities to Italy for the 2007-2008 competition

by IIE Staff

We are pleased to announce that 15 Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships to Italy will be available for 2007-08. Therefore, we will re-open the competition as soon as details are available. Be advised that there will be a requirement for some Italian language ability.  Also, since we cannot re-open the on-line application, candidates can apply in hard copy only. If you will have students applying, you can print off hard copies of the application and all forms on our website.

As soon as we have further details on the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships to Italy, we will forward the information to you.
